Dražen Tomerlin (born in 1952, Bjelovar)

Graduated economist, certified auditor. Engaged in stamp collecting for many years. Member of the Croatian Philatelic Society (CPhS) - Hrvatsko filatelističko društvo (hereinafter HFD). In HFD he performed a duty of president of the Supervisory board for many years. In 2009 he performs a duty of secretary of HFD. The owner is of the golden sign of the Croatian Philatelic Society and is its honourable member. In 2009 he takes over a duty of editor-in-chief of the magazine "Vjesnik" which is issued by HFD. The gazette is published continuously since 15 December 1975 so, in the next year it will celebrate its 35th anniversary. In addition to this newspaper, during years he published numerous articles in a domain of stamp collecting as well as the translations of philatelic literature in English and German language.

In Croatian Philatelic Federation (CPhF) - Hrvatski filatelistički savez (hereinafter HFS) he performs a duty of a president of Expert Group and is a member of the Philatelic Jury. In 2009, General Assembly of HFS elected him to a position of a chairman of the Supervisory board. For his long lasting work he obtained a golden sign of HFS.
During a years of his philatelic work he participated with his philatelic exhibits in the country and abroad and received many high awards. At first he exhibited in Kraljevo 1979. This year as an exhibitor in a youth class for his exhibit he received the first exhibition award. Afterwards, he exhibited at the exhibitions of Balkanfila, where, as a rule he has acquired gold medals. As a member of HFD, on occasion of its 90th anniversary he exihibits in Technical museum (Zagreb) in the year 1987 where, beside the medal for his exhibit he received from the doyen of the Croatian philately, Mr.Zvonimir Pillauer, of that time a president of the HFD a silver medal of the Society. At the world exhibition Prague 1988 where he attended personally, he received a silver medal for his exhibit "Prephilatelic letters of the Principality of Serbia". In the country he exhibited at many exhibitions of the HFD and of HFS, as well as the exhibitions of particular philatelic societies. He exhibited at the exhibitions of the group Alps-Adria in Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany, Italy and Austria. As a juror in an international team he performed duties of the jury at the exhibitions which are organized by this group. In the year 1998 for his exhibit "Germany 1872-1945" also in Prague he obtained a large silver medal.

For many years he cooperates with numerous stamp collectors in the country and abroad.
